This year and the past one, due to real life and work, I've been pretty busy, and I realized I missed many of the most popular movies and anime that came out in the past 2/3 years.

And that's when you come in handy :P

Please reply to this post with a list of movies or anime series you think I really should have seen (I've already recovered a copy of Transformers and StarTrek, and I've seen The Dark Knight, ~~the Twilight movies~~ and Ice age 3), I want to make sure I didn't miss anything important!

I just came back from seeing New Moon at the theater.

It wasn't as hilarious as Twilight and it was definitely too sappy, but there were those 5 minutes in total that I didn't regret spending 7 € for.

If you are shopping for a Christmas present from me, you should know I wouldn't mind a naked, wet Taylor Lautner under the tree.

Ok, ok, this time I have an excuse for beeing away for so long (Glee loving post excluded).

I've had few changes in my life in the last two months, some of which have decidedly cut off my free time.

In the middle of August my Team Leader at work took me aside and asked (read 'politely forced') me to transfer to another service in the call center I work for. Now I'm working for **** Technical Support, where **** stands for one of the biggest computer producers of the world. My job is to fix hardware (and sometimes software) related problems on the phone with the customer. You need a lot of hardware knowledge and a lot of ability when talking to people that usually barely know the size of their own hard drive.

And I don't have any of those skills, yay! So after a three weeks course we were put on line and it's been sort of a struggle since then, to learn the job, because it's full of weird procedures and you have to write everything down while you try to find what the customer actually did to his PC. And did I mention there are so many calls one can rarely breathe before the next one arrives?

But well, where I work it's considered one of the most coveted jobs, because as long as you work for **** Technical Support the job is a lasting one.

Let's hope so!

The thing that irked me most about the change of job is that it came exactly in the same period I finally managed to move out of my house.

Yes, I made it! I actually moved out!

And I had to do it during weekends, since thanks to this new job all the days off I took from work were canceled because they interfered with the course.

I spent a very busy three weeks, but I finally have my own room and the job seems to be getting easier now, and the house is clean and ready for a photoshot!

Hence the title, so beware, image-heavy under the cut!

First of all a little 'introduction'.... I moved in a city that's about 70 km far from my parents' house, Cagliari. I share the house with three other flatmates: one is my sister (22), one is the owner of the flat (27), and the last one is ~~the craziest moron I've ever met~~ a kindergarten teacher (39). Each one of us has her room, but we share the kitchen and the bathrooms.

The house is in a nice part of the city, we have everything we need without having to go very far: supermarkets, pharmacy, bakery, butcher, bank, postal office, chinese restaurant... All within a 300m range. The nicest thing is that on the first floor in our building there's a pastry shop. Every morning if my window is open it's like waking up in heaven.

Anyway, let's have a look at the house! Here's an outside view offered by Google Maps:

This is my front door. Seems a lot darker than it actually is, but I'm not very good with this camera, so bear with me :P

This is the firs part of the hall, holds the phone and our nice wi-fi router.

On the left there's first the kitchen then the two bathrooms, on the right there's the owner's room (closed since she isn't here) and mine and the ~~crazy person~~ other flatmate's rooms (you'll see them later). As you can see we use the farthest corner of the hall for the drying rack :P

The hall leads first to my sister's room, though. It has a small balcony (that's where I'm taking the picture from) that we also use for the drying rack when it isn't raining.

This is the kitchen! Nice, practical and bright, the microwave oven is very useful and the normal oven is very good for baking! (already tested :P)

It also has a small balcony where we can put clothes to dry too, but I get sick every time I try, because it's on the 2nd floor and I feel dizzy every time I have to lean on the drying rack XD

Moving on, here's the small bathroom. It hosts the washing machine, a huge sink and the shower box (I LOVE IT).

In front of the cupboard there's the ~~crazy person~~ other flatmate's door, and this is her room (she insisted that I take a picture).

My Wii, the HP Legos that I couldn't fit with the others and my craft books, and, on the upper right corner, some of my kitchen magazines.

And I think that's enough! I have more craft stuff is inside the wardrobe, and I forgot to take a detailed shot of the artbooks and my KKM plushies but I don't think people will care all that much XD

I'm enjoying life 'alone' quite a bit, even if there's more work to do, but finally having a room of your own is wonderful! Not to mention the city is full of nice places and shops to visit, and I can finally invite my friends and colleagues home for a cup of tea whenever I wish.

Well, if the ~~crazy person~~ other flatmate isn't home, that's it.

But that's a story for another time, I think you had enough for today!

Besides, I really need to work on my SnuSa fic... I'm soooooooooooo behind and it's due in about a month >_< Must hurry >_

The good, the bad and the ugly

As usual, I went to the first show of the first day.

The crowd was impressive, as was the heat.

We had nice seats, previously booked, and the peach-flavoured tea was good. The people weren't too noisy, but it started to be really hot and there was no break.

I do like to watch movies from start to end but I do like breathing more.

Now, let's talk about the movie.

I don't even want to remember the starting scene. It made no sense on any universe known to mankind, not even on the astral plane.

So, let's talk about how cool Tom Felton is, because wow, I liked him in this movie a lot, he was just as I would have imagined Draco and adorably cute when he cried. And hot. I wanna thank whoever choose his wardrobe from the bottom of my heart.

Seriously, he was the best thing of the whole movie. The Italian dubber did a magnificent job for once, but Tom Felton's body language was what made him perfect for the part. He looked so unwilling, so scared, so unsure, but also so determined and so grown up... Harry and friends still looked like teenagers, Draco seemed to have already become a man (having a madman force you to kill a powerful wizard can do that to you).

Also loved the locations, the twins' shops and the Burrow were cool, didn't like Spinner's End much (too clean, houses too high, too colourful. I imagined it a lot more depressing.)

The romance was... blah, I don't even know where to start. Ron and Hermione were cute, and quite ok. Lavender was just for laughs, and that's ok too, but Harry/Ginny... I want to hear what the people that didn't like how their relationship turned out in the books think about the movie. Really, it makes even less sense.

I cheered myself up by looking at Blaise and Cormac McLaggen.

Major WTFs? The attack at the Burrow, Tonks calling Remus 'love' (or was that just the Italian translation? Because OMG WHAT?! THEY RUINED ALL THEIR BACK-STORY IN A SINGLE SENTENCE!!!!!), Ginny and Harry's kiss and the Sectumsempra that didn't cut Draco's shirt. That was just DUMB.

By the way... HOW MANY SCENES DID THEY CUT FROM THE MOVIE?

No Sanguini! No DADA lessons! No "It's over"!!! I saw those scenes in the trailers, somewhere, and in pictures, but they weren't there!!! Why???

I know I should stop being disappointed by how little space they give Snape in the movies, but in this one it was just unfair... I mean, he was there now and then, but you could easily have forgotten him... The scenes in which they put him looked pasted on hurriedly and useless, not to mention the way they strode out of the castle without an effort and without apparent reason, and how nonchalant he reacted to Harry calling him coward while in the book he gets so angry... And I really wanted to see the DADA lessons, dammit >_<

Anyway, the worst thing was probably the end. Firs, that Harry isn't under the cloak. Second, that he can move. Third, that Snape stops and shushes him. Third, the Death Eaters all there to watch and the slow pace at which the whole thing was going. Fourth, DRACO SHOWING THE MARK ON HIS ARM... Fifth and last... how could the fact that the DEs left after killing Dumbledore (and so easily! Where was the battle?!) make sense to those who didn't read the books?! They just... left. No one was chasing them but Harry, and they left anyway. Sense, you're not making any.

But really, the confrontation between Snape and Harry was so bland at the end, and the movie as a whole felt really watered down.

I know it's a kids series (or is viewed as one, anyway), but it showed so much potential from that trailers, that seeing it ruined just because they didn't take the time show some plot because they had to add totally useless and non-canon scenes makes me wonder what they will do with the next ones.

Please, someone fire Steve Kloves and whoever thought it would be a nice thing to have him back.

P.S: I forgot... when the Inferi grabbed Harry's hand, the whole theatre seemed to get whiplash. It was like a wave of people suddenly jumping back and crying out. It was AWESOME.

I don't wanna write too much because it's late and I'm quite sleepy, but I just saw the season finales of Bones and Supernatural and... well, GUH for both of them.

Neither one of them was what I was expecting. Both were amazing, though, and they didn't left me with the 'OMG WORST CLIFFHANGER EVER' feeling the previous season finales had. Still, I can't wait for the next seasons.

I just have a couple of requests for the screenwriters, : please let Lucifer be hot. Jensen Ackles' level hot. Hotter, if you can. No taking Cass off from the cast, either. Also, Sweets needs to sing at least one more time in the next season. Hot Lucifer. Oh, and Zack needs to come back. Soon. Did I mention hot Lucifer?

Now I can't wait for The Mentalist and Criminal Minds season finales! Especially CM, it gave me such a scare with the last episode, I thought we were gonna lose another one from the team... I hope not, we already had to get Rossi to replace Gideon, and I'm still crying about that. I shudder to think what they could replace the current characters with.

I've spent the last week with constant nausea and a general sickly feeling, which has happened at random intervals since last November (io insisto che è stato il kebab che ho mangiato a Lucca che mi ha dato il colpo di grazia....), and I'm very tired about the whole thing.
I'm trying to find a reason for it and the only logical thing seems to be the abrupt weather changes, but it doesn't make much sense when it goes from cold to warm...

And speaking of warm, we've gone from coat to sleeveless shirts in the space of ten days. Today's so hot that I had to change from black to light blue jeans because the heat was killing me. And of course, being that I have the afternoon shift at work, my mother just decided noon was the best time of the day day for me to take her grocery shopping and wait in the car under the sun. *barfs again*

Anyway! Tv show seasons are ending! House already had, and OMG why does it always have to be angstyyyyy!!! *sigh*
That doesn't exactly bode well for bones or Supernatural, especially seeing how the last episode of both series went ^^; Oh, I started watching another one, and at least with it I'll have no fear of possible bad endings. Harper's Island IS a bad ending. But it's also very interesting *_*

Still no news on the house front, the ones we find are either overpriced holes or too difficult to live in (six stores with no elevator, just imagine the fun with grocery bags and water). But I can't wait >_<

This is all for today, I really have to get moving, work starts in about an hour and I need to be there a bit earlier because my computer takes at least 10 minutes to get ready...

Brief update and a request

Lazyness strikes again!

It's almost time for me to go to bed, but I realized it's been a while since I've updated my journal, and I sort of miss it..

I don't have photos to post today, even though I made a lot of cakes and weird food, but the pictures are all in cameras that aren't mine, so I can't show them at the moment. Well, you'll live.

Nothing very interesting happened; still working, still sleepy, but I did finish Resident Evil 4 and I started the Separate Ways spin off, although I'm going to finish that only after I've finished The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, which is, so far, quite maddening. I knew I was clumsy with gamepads, but not THAT much! But I'm having loads of fun, I love Zelda games!

I also FINALLY finished Phantom Hourglass. I only had the last monster to beat, but I'd set it aside for a couple of months and the urge to see the end came only last week. I can't wait for Spirit Tracks to be out, hopefully by then I'll have caught up with both Wind Waker and Twilight Princess!

Oh, I'm looking for a room near my workplace, so I'll probably move before summer. I'm still looking and I'm not really that sure I'll find something that suits my tastes, but I really want to move, have a room just for myself and live in quiet and relax. My family drives me mad more often than not.

Tv shows keep rocking, and help me cope with work and family-related stress. Seasons seem to be coming to an end, and I'm very afraid of withdrawal. Can't wait to see how Supernatural comes out, though. And Bones. And I'm still hoping Kyle will one day get a decent ending (DAMN YOU ABC!!!).

Meanwhile, I'm being smothered by the tons of fics I still have to read. I don't even want to know how many tabs I've reached, just thinking about it makes me want to cry. Still. I love my fandom.

Oh, btw, does anyone have an invite for Dreamwidth to spare? I'd like to create an account there, since I've seen most of the people in my flist already did. Or is there a way to open a free one without having an invite? A drabble/ficlet will be written for those who help! All done!

General update

I'm so lazy when it comes to writing... I meant to post about a couple of things, but then I got distracted by life and forgot...
I'll try to sum everything up in this post.

First of all, I'm so glad the spring has come. I can't wait for the nice warm weather to come, especially if it means I won't get headaches anymore. I hate cold. And I hate air conditioners in winter.

I finally managed to go to one of the biggest electronics stores around here and bought a new car stereo (the display it's actually a violet/blue when it's dark), a Wii singing game and a skin for my DS.

Speaking of DS, I sadly found my M3 flash card doesn't work. Well, it does work, but it freezes very often, so I'm going to have to buy a new one. Crap -.-

Oh, I forgot, I also bought a external hard-drive, and now I have 1TB of free space that I'm already planning to fill with anime and TV series *_*

I've already started downloading Battlestar Galactica, and, after 19 years from the first airing I'm watching... Twin Peaks! Who killed Laura Palmer?! (no, don't you even think about spoilering the end to me, I'm armed and merciless!)

Since we're talking about TV series, let me tell you about this series I fell madly in love with.

My sister convinced me to watch it and I was entranced from the first episode. It's plotty, it's cute, it deals with everyday problems in non-sappy ways, the characters are all interesting, and the actors are great.

Guess which one I'm talking about?

Yes, it's Kyle XY.

Yes, THE ONE THAT GOT CANCELLED AND ABRUPTLY INTERRUPTED WITH ONE OF THE. WORST. CLIFFHANGERS. EVER.

I don't think I've ever been that angry for any of the fandoms I'm in. The 7th book debacle? It's NOTHING compared. As sucky as some people said it was (not me, still love it) at least it had an ending. This crap they came up with for Kyle was one of the worst ways ever to deal with fans of TV shows.

So they stopped Kyle, and "Castle" starts, a couple of weeks ago... I mean, they don't have enough audience, they don't have enough money, but do they really hope to entice the same number of people with Castle as they did with Kyle?! Ah, ABC, surely you jest. No matter how good Castle is (it is nice, after all), it will NEVER be Kyle.

And now let's talk about something else because I heard that getting angry before bed it's not healthy.

I made new thingies! Remember the book my friends gave me from my birthday?

I finally managed to sew something using those patterns!

Felt creme caramel with fresh fruit! Doesn't it look tasty?

Well, I think that's all. There were other less important things too, I think, like the wooden construction kit I bough with 30 pieces of furniture, my newfound appreciation for pancakes with chocolate ice cream and the silly little things that happen at work, but it's late, I'm sleepy and cold and I have to get up early, so... night, everyone!

Well, it got renewed. For THREE YEARS!!!

Three years of assured paychecks every month!

So so SO happy!
